Sunday was our date day! We both woke up about 6:30 in the morning……maybe from the excitement of what the day ahead would hold……but more because the dog was whining to go out! LOL…….It was a little like Christmas morning for me because I can’t remember the last time I took time out for me and Keith. We headed out on time (8:45) and stopped at IHOP for breakfast…..it was very good! Keith loves to eat there, I think because he can get so much more for just a little bit of money! Anyway, after eating we headed out to Bricktown. We have lived here for 10 years and never walked around downtown or been on the river boats. Our plan for the day was to stroll around, ride the boats and then relax and catch a movie. We walked around town for about 30 minutes and then headed for the boats. It was quite an interesting trip, the driver was very funny! If you haven’t done this yet, I recommend you do. After the boat ride we walked the whole area again and took tons of pictures. We held hands, stopped for photos and even sat for a few minutes. Then off to the Harkin to catch Evan Almighty. Okay, this was the funniest movie I have seen in a long time! LOL, rolling on the floor funny. After the movie we headed home to have our community group, which was a picnic in the park. This was the perfect ending to a perfect day. It rained like crazy at the park, but we were together and had a great group of friends to laugh with. The kids splashed in puddles and we discussed building an ark!!!! I hear our Pastor talk about his date time with his wife and how much he looks forward to it…..now I know why. This day has rekindled that ‘let me look into your eyes and tell you how much I love you’ kind of romance that everyone who is in love should experience. Not just once every now and then, but everyday. I am committed to honoring Keith with my time and attention so that he knows every day that I love him and would marry him all over again! Ok, now it’s getting kind of mushy so I will go!
