- Keith and I celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary (9/28) with a trip to Hot Springs. My husband has a large romance gene and is very good at using it! He made plans for us to spend the night at The Arlington Hotel and have an evening of pampering. We both enjoyed an hour and a half visit to the bath house. Oh my goodness, it was awesome. You enjoy 20 minutes in a whirlpool bath of mineral water from the springs, 10 minutes in the sauna, 2 rounds of hot towels wrapped around every part of your body, then you end it with a 20 minute massage. Oh my goodness, this was an experience for me. I have never had that kind of pampering in my life! It was my first massage and I think it is going to be my new addiction! That evening he had dinner arrangements at the hotel restaurant where we dined on filet mignon and sweet potatoes. The atmosphere was just ‘right’! We strolled around outside for a little while then retired to our room! (intermission) We took off early the next day so we could enjoy the scenery on the return trip. We made a quick stop to eat at IHOP–they make the best breakfast and stopped to play Putt Putt. I played really well, but the golfer in our family won. (by 8 strokes) We took the back roads instead of the interstate so we could enjoy the little towns. We actually met and fell in love in Sallisaw 24 years ago, so we took a trip down memory lane and visited some of our old hang outs. We wanted to run over to the Lock and Dam and the Coast Guard base, but it was getting dark, so that will have to be another time. It was an awesome time away and refreshing to our marriage! I love him so much.

Well, that is all I can think of right now. I hope to be able to blog more often about the happenings in our lives.
