Hong Kong Day 2

We walked about 50 miles yesterday! Okay maybe it wasn’t 50, but it sure felt like it. We finished our day at the trade show around 5:30 and headed back to the hotel. My feet were very sore and tired. I met one of my friends, Amy, for dinner. She works in our Hong Kong office and we worked together when I was in another department. She is a Christian and we became friends almost immediately. We were ‘pen pals’ for several years before we were able to meet. She came to the US for the first time in ’03 and we met at that time. Anyway, we always do our best to meet up whenever we are in the same place. She told me last night that they will be having a Franklin Graham Crusade at the end of November. There are about 100 churches pulling together to bring him here. They had a prayer gathering at a local stadium and it was full! I was so excited for her. There are pictures and a video that she will email me so I can post it here. Anyway, it was nice to sit and talk with her. Unfortunately I was exhausted so we didn’t do anything else last night, but will get together again in China later this week.
I climbed in bed at 9 last night and didn’t wake up until the wake up call at 6 this morning. I feel really rested!
I am off to get some breakfast and coffee! Will write more later.
Views from my hotel window. I am on the 27th floor!

Amy & me at dinner-Dan Ryans in the mall connected to the hotel. That is not a peace sign she is showing it means Victory.

This is a shot I took from the 5th floor of the convention center.

  1. Thank you for sharing the pictures of your friend Amy. It’s great to get an update about your time away from home. As they say, distance makes the heart grow fonder:)Love you and see you soon!
