It has been quite some time since I was able to sit down and blog, so I thought I take advantage of a day off from work to do that.
We have moved into our new home-Hooray. It is more than we could ever imagine or believe for ourselves. God has blessed our socks off! It was kind of sad the last day we spent in our old house. There were a lot of memories there and as I walked from room to room remembering them, I got a little teary. However, once the door was closed the sadness was gone; the memories will last forever. Now here we are in our new blessing, building new memories. I wondered how the grand kids would take the move, you know, would they be confused and nervous………they didn’t miss a beat. They love Nana and Papa’s new house and haven’t said one thing about the old one. Molly, our dog, was a little confused and couldn’t decide which door she needed to use when she wanted to go out. She typically rings a bell when she needs out and we had packed it! Once we found her bell and hung it on the back door, she was in her normal routine!
Keith and I took the weekend off and enjoyed a trip to Hot Springs to relax. We have worked hard the last few months selling and buying a home and felt we needed a little pampering. We enjoyed a bath house/massage time on Saturday morning and then as a ‘special gift’ Keith made me an appointment for a manicure/pedicure and facial. Oh my, it was heavenly! I have never been so pampered in my life. I love this man! We took the rest of the day to walk the downtown area. There are a lot of little shops to visit, some of the original bath houses and there is also an area called The Promenade that takes you on a walk through a beautiful park. We ate at a little Italian place, the food was yummy. We had a wonderful time! Before we headed home on Sunday we stopped to eat at IHOP and get in our usual game of Putt Putt. This time the game was a little more even and I actually only lost by 1 stroke. Keith had 3 holes in one and I had 2; we both played a great game! The ride back through the mountains was absolutely beautiful. We are both relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated. I love getting away with Keith…………..my hunk of burning love!
It’s time to get a few more things unpacked and try my hand at a little decorating!
Have a blessed day!
