Keith and I took dinner over to Matt and Christy’s on Friday evening to enjoy Trick or Treating with the grandbabies. I put taco soup in the crock pot and marinated some chicken for quesadillas. Taco soup is our traditional Trick or Treat dinner, however this year it was a little too warm outside for soup, but we enjoyed it anyway. After dinner Chrisy dressed the boys in their costumes; they were both dressed as monkeys, we called them the Bo Bo Brothers and of course they were adorable. Emery wasn’t real sure about knocking on stranger’s doors, but warmed up once he realized candy was being dropped in his bucket. He even started saying Trick or Treat. There were a few houses we avoided because he didn’t like the ‘scary’ decor. Occasionally scary people opened the door, but that usually happened at the homes he avoided. Liam wasn’t quite sure what was going on, but did whatever he was directed to do. He wasn’t even aware of the scary things around him. Michele and Brandon took the girls to the fall festival at their church then met up with us in Matt and Christy’s neighborhood. Rylee and Jaedyn were dressed as The Little Mermaid and Minnie Mouse. Their costumes were adorable and the girls looked so cute. They were quick to pick up on the trick or treating portion of their evening. I tried to get some good shots of them, but by the time we got back to the house to get photos of them all together, they were too excited to play that we couldn’t get them to pose. Oh, well, I am sure between the three of us we all got some good photos! It was so much fun to hang out with the kids that night! I treasure every moment we get.
