This morning on my drive into work I was a little overwhelmed, in a positive way, with the many, (numerous, countless, abundant, plentiful) blessings in my life. I think sometimes I forget to stop and thank God for all that he has given me.
I thank God for:
First and foremost He gave me the right to have a relationship with Him when Jesus took my sins to the cross.
About 6 years ago, I (with Keith) walked through the doors of the movie theater is Quail Springs Mall and found a ‘church’ (Peoples Church). We were greeted by people who made us feel like the doors had been opened just for us. We have never looked back!
I have two amazing (remarkable, fantastic, incredible) children, who both have amazing (unbelievable, extraordinary) spouses and through those beautiful relationships, they have 4 children.
I am richly blessed with a man who adores me, even in my not-so-adoring moments. I have never felt anything but love from him! He has the most beautiful blue eyes…I noticed them from across the room over 26 years ago and have been looking into them ever since. When you look into those baby blues you see a heart of gold!
I have a job that enables me to have the finances to pay my tithes, give to the crazy campaign and pay my bills.
I have a beautiful home.
I have a sporty new car to drive. (woot woot)
I have daily conversations with my daughter….sometimes they are short and sometimes that are lengthy, but they are ALWAYS a blessing.
I live in a country that allows me the freedom to worship God.
I attend a church (Peoples Church) that accepts you for who you are. A church rich in diversity of culture where life change is the emphasis and I promise your life will be changed. If you aren’t blessed with a place of worship, I invite you to attend one of our Sunday experiences. (www.peopleschurch.tv) There is an empty chair waiting for you.
I am blessed with good health.
I have a son who in his subtle quiet spirit lets me know that he loves me.
I have 4 grandchildren who call me Nana.
I have great people around me that I can fondly call my friends.
I have an awesome Pastor’s wife I admire (adore, respect, appreciate) for her beautiful (delightful, charming, appealing) example in her relationship with Christ, her marriage and with her children.
It’s awesome to sit back and reflect on the blessings in my life! And yes, the best is yet to come!
