Can you praise Him in the storm? Absolutely. It all starts with a relationship with Him. The dictionary defines ‘relationship’ as a connection, association, or involvement; a dependency. When we become dependent on God and not ourselves, then we are in relationship with Him. Every relationship requires a daily involvement/connecting. Just like you build a relationship with a friend or loved one you can do the same with God.
When difficulties arise believe that God is bigger than anything that this world throws at you and you can praise Him through it. When you realize you can’t , know that God can. When you realize that He has the best plan for you, then you can praise Him through the storm. Know that He will bring you through and when He does you will be stronger than you could ever have imagined.
He holds my heart in His hands and wipes my tears. So, I have gone back to His promises.
John 16:33- I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
Isaiah 41:10-so do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
Psalm 94:19- When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.
Psalm 71:14 But as for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more.
Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Will difficulties arise? Yes, they will…..but God will walk through each and everyone of them with you, if you will allow Him to.
Do you have a relationship with God; have you opened your heart and life to Him? He has great and wonderful things for you. Ask Him to come into your heart today, begin connecting with Him and allow Him to work in and through you. Let Him be your strength through each and every part of your life; the highs and the lows! It will be good! Actually it will be GREAT!
Blessings!
