It’s Oh-fish-al….

I am a dot com!  **insert cheering**

I realize that it’s probably not a big deal to most of you because technically this is so 1990! However to me…it’s one step closer to what God has planned for me. You see, while I may have started this blog back in 2007, at that time it was because it was a fad and a trend. Now, God has a purpose and a plan for my blog and I know He is going to use this page for His glory.

My prayer is for God to ‘exceed my imagination’.

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
Ephesians 3:20
So, I hope you will stop by often and watch as God’s plan unfolds.  I don’t know exactly what that is, but I know He has one!  I am excited to be walking in it and even more excited to see what tomorrow holds.

Giving Him all the Glory!

P. S. Thanks to my son Matt, who made the dot com official. I am a little a lot challenged in the area of technology and all that goes with it, but I’m learning. He is our computer genius…this was nothing for him to do! But, a huge thanks to him for taking me to the next level!

One of my daily devotions in YouVersion is Rick Warren’s What on Earth Am I Here For. Clicking on that link will take you to his online daily devotion, but it is the same thing that was shared in YouVersion.
This morning some of the things I had been pondering over the last few months and weeks were addressed and my heart was encouraged.

I’m not anxious about what God has planned, but just like everyone else, I’m curious, always wanting to know what is next.  I’ve thought about Moses, Ruth, Esther and David a lot over these last few months…were they forever asking questions of God…well, yes they were.  Did it hurry God’s plan…not one second!  It’s His plan…and He will bring it about in his time!

What am I here for?  To live each day for Him, to write blogs that encourage, to serve at my church, to worship Him daily, to love my husband and family, to do the job that he set before me…..this list goes on and on.

Today I will dwell on where I am  and what I can do in this moment, on this day and not worry about what tomorrow holds.

I may not know what tomorrow holds, but I know Who holds it!  Woot Woot..yep that’s and oldie, but goodie!  Had to say it.

Anyway, I thought his devotion was very good,  it encouraged me and I thought it might encourage you!

Have a happy hump daayy!

Let it Go

You are probably singing the Disney version, but I want to talk about the God version.

Let it go….give God control of the out-of-control situations in your life.

In my own life things got out of control and instead of trusting God to take care of ‘it’, I took control. Whoa, talk about things getting out of control! Things went from bad to worse and I was blaming God for it. But, He was doing just exactly what I gave him the ability to do…waiting in the wings and watching me try to handle it on my own.

He’s not a forceful god, but a loving Father who wants us to realize that He has the best intentions for us.  He loves us enough to take care of all the ‘stuff’ that comes our way.  All He asks is that we love and trust him. Allow Him to be ‘control central’ in our lives.

Our power comes when we wave the little white flag and say ‘God, I surrender all to you’.  Surrendering to God isn’t a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength. Strength to say, I can’t do this, but You can.

Surrendering (letting it go) means I am saying “God, here I am use me”. Make me the person you designed me to be, let my life bring you glory.

It’s like the Potter and the clay from Jeremiah, He wants to mold us into the fine piece of pottery he planned for us, but we have to stay on the potter’s wheel for that to happen. We have to always be allowing him to mold us and form us. When we stop letting that happen then the wheel stops and we are no longer being formed and the clay gets hard.  Keep the wheel spinning and allow God to mold us into who He destined us to be by staying surrendered to Him.

Surrendering to God means I am cooperating with Him. I am sitting on the Potter’s wheel and He is molding me everyday, through each and every situation that comes my way.

Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;

he’s the one who will keep you on track.

Don’t assume that you know it all.
Proverbs 3:5-7

All to Jesus I surrender; all to him I freely give;

I will ever love and trust him, in his presence daily live.

God Knows

God not only knows where you are;
he knows who you are.
He knows what you’re going through,
why you’re going through it
and how you feel about.
He knows you better than you know yourself.
He cares about you personally.
~Rick Warren~

There are some days I need the gentle reminder that God knows it all already….I’m not a surprise to him…my sin is not a secret to him…my lack of faith, my frustrations and poor attitude …none of this is a secret to him.
He knows me by name!

He knew me before I was conceived.
Formed me in my mothers womb.
Knows my purpose.
Already has my life planned.

I am forever written on the palms of his hands!

I would not forget you!
See, I have written your name on
the palms of my hands Isaiah 49: 15b,16a

He won’t forget me, ever. He will never not love me.  His desire is for me to be who he created me to be. To walk in his purpose and plan.

I’m not perfect!

But, I am forgiven.

The decisions I make and attitudes I have each day are my choice.

And each day I make the choice to be a better me than I was the day before!

Jesus loves me!
